Mini Sea Shore or Rajiv Gandhi Joggers Park
A strip of land in Vashi along the coast of Thane creek has been developed as a park and is popularly known as the "Mini Seashore" or "Seaside Park" AT Sector 10A, close to St. Mary's school and the upmarket residential area and the Fortis Hospital. The park is separated from the creek by a large holding pond, which is surrounded by a path that is used as a walking/jogging track. Residents of Vashi and nearby nodes frequent this area for recreation, relaxation and exercise. Hundreds walk or run along the track and over the embankment of the holding pond every day. Local laughter clubs and tennis enthusiasts can be seen utilizing the park in the mornings. Paddle boats are rented out for use within the outer pond. Children's rides, horseback riding and vendors of chaat or other refreshments are a common sight along the Mini Seashore in the evenings, which is when families tend to visit.
Palm Beach Marg
Palm Beach Marg is also called the Palm Beach Road. This road stretches over 10 km and connects Vashi to Belapur via Nerul. The road is known for the smooth ride it provides and is surrounded by many residential and commercial complexes.
Nerul rock garden is located in Nerul east. The garden is well maintained by the authorities and has a nice play area for kids of all age groups. You can either take a stroll in the garden or just relax sitting on the grass,It is a very unique garden with little rock cut caves, aesthetically landscaped, children's play area with equipment like slides, swings etc, animal statues here and there over a fairly large area. The entire area is on an undulating piece of land so walking up and down over large lawns and paved ways is immense fun for children.
The Nerul Balaji Temple is situated on a small hill near the west side of the Nerul railway station in Navi Mumbai.It's a Shri Venkateshwar (Balaji) temple on a small hillock. The main temple is surrounded by smaller temples of Ganesh, Mata Padmavati , Hanumanji and Shri Narasinh Vishnu in the same premise.It's a serene place to visit. A must visit place.The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Venkateswara, a incarnation of the Lord Vishnu.The multistory temple complex comprises a traditional temple building, 1000 seater event Hall, Brahman vasatigriha, Guruji Hall.The temple is the most-visited place of worship in Vashi. The temple is visited by about 150-200 people devotees daily, while on special occasions and festivals, like the annual vardhanti mahotsav the number of pilgrims shoots up to 250- 500, making it the most-visited holy place in Navimumbai.
Hanuman, Garuda, Lord Ganesh and Godess Laxmi, Lord Subramaniya, Navagraha were the other Gudis surrounding Main Garbha gudi. Shri Laxmi Venkatramana (Balaji) Temple is operated by a Trustee from Gowda Saraswat Brahmin Sabha. One of the oldest Lord Balaji temple in Vashi, Navimumbai, since 1994.
Sagar Vihar Garden is a popular tourist attraction which faces the Thane creek in Navi Mumbai. Its original name is Veer Savarkar Udyan and is popularly known by the name Sagar Vihar Garden.
This garden has variety of flowers and provides beautiful views of the creek. Visitors can relax and unwind in the middle of the city at this garden.
The main attraction at Nerul's Wonders Park are the miniature sculptures of the 'Seven wonders of the world'. It is these replicas from which the park has got its name. All of these miniatures are placed next to each other and are situated towards the left side after entering from the main gate. Metal plaques have been placed near each of these sculptures that gives all the basic information about each of the seven wonders. There are high tech joy rides and a toy train in the Park. There are jogging and cycling tracks; a Giant Chess Board and Horse Cart rides inside the park, well-equipped play area for children with a nice rubber-like flooring, the lazy river, the Khandoli lake, the open air amphitheatre and others. There are also many eye catching sculptures inside the Park.
D Y Patil Stadium is a cricket stadium located in D Y Patil Vidyanagar campus in Navi Mumbai. Designed by one of India's renowned architects, Hafeez Contractor, this stadium has all the facilities available in an international cricket stadium. Furthermore, this stadium has 9 tennis hard courts, 4 indoor badminton courts and swimming pool, among others. The stadium can accommodate up to 55,000 visitors at a time. Apart from this, the stadium also has a unique cantilever roof, thereby eliminating the requirement of a support. This feature provides spectators an unhindered view of the match from any place within the stadium. This stadium has been the host for many IPL matches. Another unique fact about the roof of this stadium is that it is India's first and largest fabric roof and the fabric used for the roof was imported from Germany. For the convenience of spectators, spacious bucket seats along with two LED screens which are the biggest in India have been installed.
